China Federation of Industrial Economics (CFIE)
China Federation of Industrial Economics (CFIE) was established in 1988 upon approval by the State Council and registration at the Ministry of Civil Affairs of the P.R.C.
In 2011, Mr. Li Yizhong, standing member of the 11th National Committee, CPPCC, Vice Chairman of the Economic Committee of the 11th National Committee, CPPCC, and former Minister of Industry and Information Technology, was elected Chairman. Madam Gu Xiulian, Vice Chairwoman of the Standing Committee of the 10th NPC, and Prof. Xu Kuangdi, Vice Chairman of the 10th National Committee, CPPCC, sit as Honorary Chairpersons.
The CFIE presidium is the decision-making body attending to major events while the executive council is in recess. It currently has 72 members.
As a national federation of industrial associations, its members include national, provincial and municipal industrial associations, as well as leading industrial enterprises.
Its main tasks are: to actively advance China’s industrial modernization, the industrial governance system reform and technological innovation in industrial enterprises; to offer suggestions for government’s decision making based on surveys and research; to unswervingly strengthen international exchange and cooperation with industrial and business organizations worldwide; and to provide better services for its members through various channels and platforms.
