Montblanc internationally operates in more than 130 countries selling exclusively through its network of authorized retailers, jewelers and in over 460 Montblanc boutiques worldwide. Among them more than 150 boutiques are in China.
Montblanc commenced business within China in 1992 and established its own subsidiary in 2005. China became the largest market for Montblanc in 2008 and it continues till today.
Chinese Clients, in quest of the highest quality, have been seduced by Montblanc Products, and the quest for refinement, the Maison is aiming at.
Montblanc´s social and cultural commitment can also be experienced in China through a variety of projects: since 1992, the Maison is present through the Montblanc Cultural Foundation, which honors outstanding patrons of the arts with the Montblanc de la Culture Arts Patronage Award. In 2016, the award has been handed over to art patrons in 16 countries worldwide.
Montblanc has been a partner of various art projects of local artists and has twice brought the Philharmonic of the Nations Orchestra to China, an orchestra composed of 50 young talented members of 19 different nations and four continents.
In Pu Cheng, Shanxi, Montblanc has also created an eye hospital so that rural dwellers may receive cataract operations and retain vision.
In addition to donating to the Sichuan earthquake fund in 2008, Montblanc has also cooperated with “The One Foundation” that is committed to improving access to safe and clean water for those most acutely in need.
This continuous social and cultural engagement of Montblanc has been recognized with the Best Social Responsibility Award presented to Montblanc in June 2009 by Shanghai´s “The Bund Magazine”.
