Ronnie C. Chan, Chairman, Hang Lung Group, Hong Kong S.A.R.
Ronnie C. Chan was born in Hong Kong in 1949.
He received his MBA degree from the University of
Southern California. Mr. Chan is the Chairman of
the Hang Lung Group and Hang Lung Properties.
He also co-founded the privately owned Morningside
group.
Mr. Chan is a former director of Standard Chartered
PLC and Motorola, Inc., and a former
government appointed Non-executive Director of
The Securities and Futures Commission of Hong
Kong. He is Chairman of the Executive Committees
of the One Country Two Systems Research
Institute and of the Better Hong Kong Foundation,
Convenor of the Hong Kong Development Forum,
an advisor to the China Development Research
Foundation of the State Council of the People’s
Republic of China, and Chairman of the China
Heritage Fund. Internationally, Mr. Chan is, among
other appointments, a Vice Chairman of the Asia
Society in New York and Chairman of its Hong
Kong Center, a Trustee of the University of
Southern California, and a member of the Council
on Foreign Relations.
