Dr. Richard Hausmann, President & Chief Executive Officer, Siemens Ltd., P.R. China
Dr. Richard Hausmann was born in 1960. He
studied physics at Regensburg University and the
State University of New York with obtaining his
Doctorate in Physics. In 1988, Dr. Hausmann
joined the Siemens Medical Engineering Group
where he has held various positions in the Magnetic
Resonance Division. In 1998, he joined the
Computer Tomography Division, where he became
Division President and also was responsible for the
entire China business of the Siemens Medical
Solutions Group.
In 2005, Dr. Hausmann assumed his current position
as President & CEO of Siemens Ltd, China. He
actively helps to shape the country’s business
environment, and is Chairman of the Executive
Committee of Foreign Invested Companies in
China and of the Board of the German Chamber of
Commerce in China. He also serves as consultant
and advisor to two province governors and a
municipal government. Dr. Hausmann published
numerous articles and holds various patents related
to Magnetic Resonance and Imaging.
