Alfred T. Ritter, born in 1953, the grandson of
the company’s founder is owner and managing
director of Alfred Ritter GmbH & Co KG, Waldenbuch,
one of Germany’s leading chocolate producers.
The nearly worldwide known chocolate bar
in its high quality and unique square design is
manufactured and distributed under the brand of
“Ritter Sport“. Besides, Alfred T. Ritter shows a
long lasting, large engagement for alternative
energies and ecology: he is involved in various
projects, foundations and owns companies named
Paradigma or Ritter Solar. In 1997, he was elected
the “ecological manager of the year“. Only one
year later he got the “Prognos award for future“
and just another year has passed by, when Alfred
T. Ritter was honoured with the “Bundesverdienstkreuz“
(Federal Cross of Merit, the highest
decoration of the Federal Government of Germany).
