Rickmers Group
Rickmers is a diversified group with activities in the business fields of liner shipping, ship owning and ship management, investments and real estate as well as maritime related services. The Group is based in Hamburg, Germany and is represented through a worldwide network of 20 own offices and more than 40 agencies. The Group employs over 2 750 seafarers and over 450 shore based personnel.
Liner services for breakbulk, heavylift and project cargoes
Rickmers-Linie is the leading specialist for the worldwide transportation of breakbulk, heavylift and project cargoes. The company currently owns or long-term charters 20 multipurpose vessels. Ten new vessels are under construction in China, and due to join the fleet in 2010-11. Rickmers-Linie has strong traditional ties with China, frequent calls at Chinese ports and is present with seven own offices in the country.
Ship owning & Ship management
Rickmers Group incorporates various companies focusing on ship owning and ship management. Rickmers controls a fleet of close to 90 vessels in operation, mainly container vessels, chartered to renowned shipping lines worldwide. More than 60 vessels are on order. A considerable part of the fleet was, and will be, delivered by Chinese shipyards.
Rickmers Group holds a stake of 33,1% in Rickmers Maritime, a Singapore business trust formed with the objective of owning and operating containerships under long-term, fixed-rate charters to container liner shipping companies.
Investments
ATLANTIC is the investment company of the Group. Specializing in ship funds, Atlantic also diversifies to areas not related to the maritime business, such as the funding of real estate projects.
Real Estate
“Rickmers Immobilien” develops the real estate portfolio of Rickmers Group and also takes care of the management of this portfolio.
Maritime Services
Rickmers Group offers a wide range of maritime related services in brokering, marine consultancy and funds management, all dedicated to offering the best possible solutions to the customers’ needs.
