The Greater China market has developed into LANXESS's strongest in Asia, and is considered to have the world's largest growth potential in the chemical industry. All 13 business units represent at sites in Shanghai (headquarter), Beijing, Guangzhou, Hong Kong, Wuxi, Qingdao, Tongling and Liyang, witharound 900 employees (up to September 2010). LANXESS’s Greater China sales increased in 2009 year-on-year by 14.8 percent to EUR 584 million, representing 11.5 percent of Group sales.
